[Party-With-Graywolf] File - 3. How to attach a pic(s).txt

I'm going to assume that you are already familiar with sending & receiving email and that you have the picture you want to send saved on your hard drive,floppy disk, or a CD-ROM. All email programs or web sites are a little different so this will be a general overview which should be enough to get you going.

Start a new message and enter the exact email address for the group you want to post to, for example; best-of-graywolf-all-amateur@yahoogroups.com. Somewhere in the new message box should be a button or link labeled "Attachment", "Edit Attachments","Insert", or something like that.

If you're using a program like Outlook Express rather than a web site go to the "Insert" menu at the top of your screen and then choose "File Attachments". Another box will pop up. Click on "Browse" and find the file you want to send, select it, click on "Attach" and then "Done".

You won't actually see the picture in your draft but it should be listed just above the text area for your message. Enter a subject line and any text you want to add to the post and then click "Send". Once it's been posted on the yahoo site you will get a copy sent back to you and the rest of the group. You can attach more than one pic if you want by going back and forth between "Browse" and "Attach" in the attachment box up to about 1000k but try to keep it under 500k if possible. This will help reduce the time it takes to uploadyour file and for the members of our group to download. You may see a running total of your message size towards the bottom of the attachment box depending on your email. Thanks, and happy posting,
